If you are fed up with the stress, crowds, traffic, and
noise of city life, relief is not far away.
Imagine yourself lying in a hammock between two oak trees or sitting in a
rocking chair on the porch of The Lodge, and the only sounds you hear are the
sounds of the country. About 60 miles Northwest of Ft. Worth and 60 miles
Southeast of Wichita Falls, in the southern part
of Jack County lies the Richards Ranch. This
15,000 acre working cattle ranch provides a scenic backdrop for relaxation and
also delivers some of the best hunting and
fishing in
Texas. If game is not your game,
then we have a myriad of other activities for your
pleasure. Richards Ranch has a rich and long history
dating back to 1865 and spans seven generations, each of whom has been
dedicated to the preservation and improvement of this beautiful land. In 2001, an upscale construction and renovation effort produced The Lodge at Richards Ranch. We can accommodate small and medium sized groups for events and have sleeping accommodations for 10 persons. We also have 7 cabins for couples or smaller groups. Our
Pavilion Prior to 1998, this vast 15,000 acre ranch was hunted by only a select group of family and friends and still remains an unspoiled paradise for true Texas Hunting. In 1999, after a survey by the Texas Parks and Wildlife and a game biologist, 26 bucks were taken, eight of them were more than 140 Boone and Crockett points.
Enjoy the beauty of our land, the wildlife, scenery, activities, or just sit back in a comfortable rocker and reflect on life.
